Export a 3D part or assembly as STEP or IGES first. This tool accepts the exchange file, not the proprietary source file.

Rhino

Export your geometry as STEP, STL or OBJ. Choose a suitable mesh quality and verify units and dimensions.

Shade3D

The official guide documents STL export in mm and OBJ export in m. For such OBJ files, choose m here and check the converted dimensions.

Not accepted directly: SLDPRT, DWG, DXF, JWW, SKP, 3DM and 3MF. A 2D drawing does not become a 3D solid through format conversion.

Before converting

Is conversion really free?

Yes. No registration is required. You can download the result without ordering. A physical print is quoted and paid separately.

Which browsers can I use?

We recommend the latest desktop Chrome. Current Edge, Firefox and Safari can also be used when WebAssembly and Web Workers are available, but operation is not guaranteed on every device. Internet Explorer, legacy Edge (EdgeHTML), and other old browsers are unsupported. Open this page in a regular browser rather than an in-app browser such as LINE. Phones may run out of memory with large CAD files. Private browsing or storage restrictions may prevent restoration or transfer to a quote; download the STL and select it manually instead.

Is it lossless?

Not for every format. STEP and IGES surfaces are approximated by triangles. Meshes are not simplified, but STL uses float32 coordinates and omits color, texture and CAD structure. Keep your original file.

Can I use files from an older CAD application?

Yes, if it can export one of the supported exchange formats and the file can be parsed. We cannot guarantee every application version, assembly or damaged file. Export settings and permissions vary.

Are my CAD files uploaded?

The converter processes model contents in your browser and stores its recovery draft locally. They are not uploaded for conversion. Clicking the quote button only transfers the STL within this browser; the normal quote and checkout flow remains separate.

Can I order a print after converting?

Yes, eligible STL results can be carried into the quote. The automatic quote accepts files up to 30 MiB and a longest dimension of 200 mm. Review the model, settings and price before ordering.
